A Scar the Size of the Twin Towers

With the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 just around the corner, there is a lot to reflect upon. To name a few things: there were thousands of innocent lives lost, including hundreds of public service men and women (i.e. fire, police, etc.), a countless amount of property damage and a scar the size of the Twin Towers on the heart of America.

Quite a bit of healing took place when American military personnel completed an almost 10-year mission to capture and execute the main player behind the 9/11 plot—Osama Bin Laden. His capture will never bring back the lives of those lost fighting for our lives, but will help even in the smallest amount for the victim's families to find justice. Therefore, the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 should be a day where honor is paid to those for whom honor is due. 

Any family or friend connected to a victim of 9/11 deserves to be honored. The sacrifice of losing a loved one is unmatched to most anything, and worthy of honor! If you know someone connected in some way, shape or form to a victim, go out of your way to honor them.

The following are ways to bring timely honor:

• Write them a hand-written card to show you care
• Buy them a small gift
• Travel with them to visit a burial site/memorial site
• Spend the day or part of the day with them on 9/11/11
• Bring them to a church that's honoring them

You might just be the healing balm for their scar the size of the Twin Towers.

At Restore Church, Harford & Cecil county's newest Casual, Contemporary and Christan Church, we will be remembering 9/11 victim's and their families by the following at both services 9:30 & 11 AM:

• A video will be showed to remind us of the events
• Beyond the Veil, Restore Church's worship band, will sing a song they wrote to commemorate 9/11
• A family member of someone who lose his life in one of the towers will share her story from the towers till today
• Anyone in the audience connected to a victim or who serves in the police department, fire department, etc. will be honored. 
• Giving 9.11 percent of our offering to the families of the victims

Honor helps heal the wounds from 9/11! Please do not pass up a tremendous opportunity to heal scars the size of the twin towers this September 11, 2011!
