Frugal Fashion (Try 'n Say That a Few Times Fast)
Style doesn't have to cost you a lot! These are my favorite places to score it for less.

Hey shoppers! Let me introduce you to my fashion blog. I'm Meg Browning—a fashion enthusiast and bargain lover. Some may call me a "shopaholic," I just think of myself as an opportunist.
Although I can see the beauty in most style genres, my personal favorite is this sort of combination of relaxed bohemian and tribal trends—I can't get enough prints and feathers! (No, really. It's a problem.) The good thing about personal style is that you know what works. Now, you just need to know where to find it, especially if it's for less. Nothing's better about shopping than when you can find something that's "you" for less.
Where do I find my "you" ... hmm ... "me" items? EVERYWHERE. I always keep my eyes open for the next addition to my wardrobe or my home. My usual spots include some obvious good-deal choices:
Find out what's happening in Havre de Gracefor free with the latest updates from Patch.
- Target: Hit up the dollar aisle. You could score some cheap socks, organizational tools, stationary and this time of year, a cute beach bag. Target's also great for basics and occasional trendy updates. Really though, who am I kidding? It's great for everything.
- Thrift/Antique Stores: These places are great for unique accessories. I found a pair of adorable navy, scalloped, leather gloves at one time for $2! You can really get some unique finds that no one else will have. Of course, here in HdG, there's an awesome antique scene. Look for things like brooches, bracelets and belts.
- Forever 21: I know. Not always a great choice. A) It has deceived many a college student with it's return policy. B) It's not the best quality for some items--be careful and inspect items before you purchase. You can, however, find the latest trends, great jewelry and hair accessories that surprisingly last forever! (No pun intended.)
- Walmart: It's not just for cheap groceries and smiley-face stickers anymore. Go in with a mission, though. You might find yourself with an arm-full of "Roll-backs" from every department. Remember—there was a movie made about a girl who lived in there! There's so much stuff! It is possible to stay focused though. A couple of weeks ago, I found a great pair of Ray-Ban style shades for $3! And if you're like me, and go through sunglasses like a three-year-old goes through crayons, it can be better to stay frugal for a trendy pair.
I hope that next time you're out, the deals find you!
