Grandma's Fried Pizza
Homemade Fried Pizza, sure to be a pleaser at your dinner table.
If you love pizza...you will love fried pizza! Using my Grandma Marge's dough recipe, this was always my birthday dinner request and still is! Easy to make and fun for kids of all ages to enjoy.
You'll need:

- 3 Cups of flour
- 1 Envelope active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tsp salt
- 1 Cup lukewarm water
- 1/4 Cup liquid shortening
- 1 Egg
For frying:
- Crisco Shortening or Oil

- Measure 2 cups flour in mixing bowl and set aside
- Into another bowl put yeast, 1 cup flour and water. Beat with mixer for blender for 2 minutes.
- Continue beating while adding other ingredients except flour.
- Pour mixture into first bowl over flour. Mix thoroughly
- Cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours.
- Punch down, kneed in enough flour to make the dough thick enough to handle.
- Using solid shortening (I use Crisco) Heat shortening in a deep pan so it is hot enough to fry dough
- Form pieces of dough into flat, round shapes.
- Fry
- Serve hot, cover with spaghetti sauce, pepperoni slices and grated mozzarella cheese.
