Hollywood Casino Donates to Toys for Tots

 From mid-November until December 11^th, Hollywood Casino Perryville collected toys for the well-known organization, Toys for Tots. The campaign originated in 1947 by a U.S. Marine named Bill Hendricks. Hendricks made it his mission to ensure needy children had a joyful Christmas like the rest. It became so successful by 1948, that the Marine Corps adopted the program and it became a national campaign.

 Last year, Toys for Tots was able to help over 13,000 children in Cecil County. Hollywood Casino Perryville was more than happy to get all of their cast members in the season of giving and donate to this wonderful cause this year. For the few short weeks they were collecting for, they were able to fill 2 boxes overflowing with toys. The toys ranged from remote-controlled cars to Barbie dolls, to board games and easy bake oven kits.
