Bridge Closed Over Deer Creek This Week During Day

The bridge over MD 161/Darlington Road will be closed for debris cleanup.

The bridge over Deer Creek will be closed for most of the day Wednesday to Friday this week so that crews can clear logs and other large debris lodged underneath the structure because of recent storms.

Drivers are advised to plan accordingly, allowing for extra time because of detours.

The closure of the bridge on MD 161/Darlington Road will be effective from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6; Thursday, July 7; and Friday, July 8, according to the State Highway Administration.

Detours will be in effect, with people directed to take MD 155/Level Road, MD 22/Churchville Road, MD 136/Priestford Road and US 1/Conowingo Road.

Drivers should slow down near the work zone and anticipate heavy equipment going to and from the Deer Creek bridge.
