Brush Fire Sparks Arson Investigation In Darlington

There was an arson in Darlington over the weekend, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

DARLINGTON, MD — A brush fire in Darlington broke out over the weekend, officials reported Monday. Investigators say the fire was intentionally set, and they are asking the public for information to identify who is responsible.

A neighbor discovered the brush fire behind a home in the 1900 block of Glen Cove Road before 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Three firefighters brought the brush fire under control within 10 minutes, officials said.

Investigators determined someone ignited natural cover and brush on property owned by Federal National Mortgage Association.

There was $500 in damage, officials reported. Nobody was injured.
