Canceled Due Weather: Havre de Grace Children's Art Festival

The Havre de Grace Children’s Art Festival, slated to take place Saturday in Tydings Park, is canceled due to weather, officials said Saturday morning.

The Salute to Safety event, including things like an auto extraction demonstration and boat rescue, is still on Saturday; all activities associated with it will be held at Hutchins Park off Congress Avenue, according to the city of Havre de Grace.

Sponsored by the Havre de Grace Police Department, Susquehanna Hose Company and Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps, the Salute to Safety will educate and entertain families from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.
