​Carolyn Verne Weaver, 63, of Darlington

Carolyn Verne Weaver, of Darlington, died at the age of 63 on June 30, 2016. at Gilchrist Hospice at GBMC in Towson.

Born in Baltimore to Vernon Lloyd and Clara (Fender) Weaver, she earned her bachelor's degree from Wilson College and her master's from George Washington University.

She was a change management specialist consultant and lived in Belgium for two years, which she loved. She enjoyed cooking, was an amazing gardener and spoke French.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert G. Powell; her sister, Christena Weaver Smith of Warrenton, VA; niece Rebecca Clare Hunter; nephew, Duncan Joseph Smith; and grandniece, Samantha Clare Hunter.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Nathan Lloyd Weaver and Mina Lawson Weaver.

There will be a celebration of life in honor of Carolyn Weaver at Brooks End Farm, 3056 Harmony Church Road, Darlington, MD US 21034. The event is planned for 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016.
