Firefighters Knock Down Chapel Road House Fire
The Susquehanna Hose Company reported it cleared the scene around 5 p.m.
One person was taken for medical evaluation after a house fire on Chapel Road Wednesday afternoon, according to Susquehanna Hose Company Assistant Chief Steve Allers.
At 3:04 p.m. on Wednesday, a house fire was reported in the 2000 block of Chapel Road, the Susquehanna Hose Company reported.
When crews arrived, smoke was showing from a mobile home trailer and all those who were inside had evacuated, the report said. One of the homeowners was taken to the hospital for an evaluation, Allers told Patch.
Firefighters found that the blaze had extended along the length of the attic, so crews knocked it down and ventilated the structure, according to the report.
Within approximately 15 minutes, the fire was under control, the report said.
By 5 p.m., all units cleared the scene.
The cause of the fire was not immediately available.
