Chesapeake Bay Boaters Warned Before Labor Day Weekend
Boaters may encounter new challenges on the Chesapeake Bay this Labor Day.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is warning boaters to be aware that they may encounter some new challenges in the water this Labor Day weekend.
"We expect a significant amount of debris to enter the Chesapeake Bay and other Maryland waterways," the Maryland Department of Natural Resources advised Friday, Sept. 3.
Hazards like logs and other debris may be mixed in with extra boat traffic this holiday weekend from Tropical Depression Ida.

Boaters should report any navigational hazards to the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Maryland by VHF Radio or 410-576-2518.
