"A Chesapeake Holiday"

Seamus Kennedy and Janie Meneely perform together at the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum for the very first time.

Location: Havre de Grace Maritime Museum

Admission: $15 (FREE parking).

Date/Time: December 13, from 7-9pm (Doors open at 6:30 for cocktails and refreshments).

Meneely, songwriter and chronicler of all things Chesapeake, joins forces with Seamus Kennedy, nationally and internationally-acclaimed Irish troubadour, for an evening of Holiday fun.

Janie Meneely has been performing Chesapeake Bay songs and stories for nearly three decades. Editor of Chesapeake Bay Magazine, she makes a living as a writer and advocate for Bay heritage and traditions. Sometimes saucy, sometimes serious, Meneely’s music offers audiences a glimpse of a rapidly disappearing way of life and invites them to join in. Kennedy, born in Belfast but now residing in Maryland, has been entertaining audiences all over the United States for almost four decades. An accomplished singer, songwriter, guitarist, comedian, and all-around entertainer with a ready wit and a vast store of songs, he travels the country performing for thousands each year. His repertoire includes traditional Irish and Scottish ballads, classic Country & Western, American standards, and Children’s music. Kennedy’s ability to combine a total command of the music with humor makes him unique in the industry. So, please join us – wine and refreshments will be available. A fun evening for the whole family!
