City of Havre de Grace to Take Over Main Street Affairs

The city of Havre de Grace has taken over the responsibilities of Havre de Grace Main Street, city officials announced Monday.

“Activities over the last 12 months and a recent audit generated questions on the nonprofits management of the program,” the announcement said. “....as a result, the city terminated its relationship with the nonprofit and assumed responsibility of the Main Street program.”

Havre de Grace Main Street used to run the Farmers Market, First Fridays and the annual Graw Days festival. The festival has been canceled for 2015.
