On Tuesday, the city sent its first official tweet into cyberspace, using the Twitter handle @havredegrace.
Tweets must be no longer than 140 characters, and Havre de Grace joins many other government agencies that are increasingly relying on Twitter and its brief messages as a way to keep citizens informed.
The Havre de Grace Police Department joined Twitter in May, using the handle @HdGPolice.
