Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Harford County

BREAKING: The tide may send water flowing onto shore in Harford County, National Weather Service advises.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A coastal flood advisory is in effect for Harford County from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory due to the possibility of flooding in low-lying areas along the shore due to the combination of onshore winds and tides.

Tides are expected to be 1 to 2 feet higher than normal.

Specifically, the advisory says that within a few hours of high tide in Havre de Grace, water is anticipated to flow over the bulkhead at the city yacht basin. High tide is at 4:44 p.m. in Havre de Grace, according to the National Weather Service.

Minor inundation of the shoreline is also possible, according to the coastal flood advisory.
