Need a gift in a hurry and the mall is not for you?
Pizzazz, a specialty shop that recently reopened in downtown Havre de Grace, is the stop for shoppers who prefer unique gifts in small town shops.
Shop owner Victoria Thanner, and Pizzazz employee Leah Necker — who has worked for Thanner for the past four years — are happy with their new location on St. John Street, across from . Thanner's previous location was on Washington Street.

The Pizzazz staff spent the summer preparing the new shop.
“The City of Havre de Grace is a wonderful place to do business and our new location has exposed us to an increase in foot traffic and increased sales,” Thanner said.

The new storefront is easy to spot, with window displays decorated with bright pink and green colors.
Thanner is experienced in merchandising and selecting items for her clientele. Before arriving in Havre de Grace, Thanner successfully operated Pizzazz for 13 years in the Baltimore County community of Phoenix. Her former customers still travel to Havre de Grace to purchase items she carries.
There is something in the shop for everyone and every age group: fine painted artwork, nautical gifts, girly-themed items, jewelry, unique culinary hardware, purses, stylish sandals (including the new, cool switch tops), toys, toddler clothing, bachelorette and wedding party items, stuffed animals, and a blue crab and wine-lovers section. For those with a sense of humor, check out the funny cards, cocktail napkins and novelty shirts.
The current plan is for Pizzazz to stay open seven days a week, and to remain open into the evening when foot traffic picks up.
