Concord Point Public Hearing, War of 1812 Update: HdG City Council Agenda

The Havre de Grace City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Citizens can chime in with their thoughts on plans by the City of Havre de Grace to acquire property at 701 Concord St.

A hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall on the ordinance outlining the proposed purchase agreement for the property next to the Concord Point Lighthouse. Essentially, the financing structure entails the city paying the $1.25 million balance it owes property owner Steve Gamatoria over a 25-year period at 4 percent interest. The agreement also includes a request by the city to post a 6 by 1.5-foot sign on the porch.

Later in the agenda, there will be reports on the Havre de Grace War of 1812 commemoration, which took place May 3 to 5; and a recap from the Havre de Grace Seafood Festival, which occurred Aug. 9 to 11.
