Crash South of HdG Leaves One in Grave Condition: Officials
Collision on Interstate 95 north caused miles-long backup.

One person was in grave condition after a crash on Interstate 95 north in Harford County Thursday, according to officials.
The two-vehicle collision was reported at 7:19 p.m. on I-95 north past the exit for MD 543, state transportation officials reported. Before 9 p.m., two of three northbound lanes remained closed for cleanup, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).
There were three people taken for medical treatment from the scene, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

One of those individuals was in grave condition, he said.
Northbound I-95 was completely shut down from 7:30 p.m. to 8:40 p.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority. At 7:49 p.m., there was a 2-mile backup and emergency crews were at the scene, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

By 9 p.m., one lane was open on I-95 north.
