Crash Shut Down I-95 North of Havre de Grace

A collision caused congestion Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 95 near the Tydings Bridge.

A crash north of Havre de Grace caused backups for those heading toward Cecil County midday for a little more than an hour.

At 12:24 p.m. on Tuesday, a single-vehicle crash was reported on Interstate 95 north at mile marker 89.8, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).

After the crash, all lanes of I-95 north were shut down before the bridge, according to CHART.

Police, firetrucks and an ambulance were at the scene, where a trailer appeared to have been involved.

Traffic cameras showed vehicles getting by on the fast shoulder just before 1 p.m. and by 1:30 p.m., the crash had cleared.
