Crashes on Tydings Bridge Jam Traffic Saturday
Two crashes have been reported Saturday, March 26, on the Tydings Bridge over the Susquehanna River.
CECIL COUNTY, MD – For the second time Saturday afternoon, a crash on the Tydings Bridge is causing delays.
A four-vehicle crash that happened before 3:30 p.m. was snarling traffic until approximately 4:15 p.m., the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART) reported.
The crash happened on Interstate 95 north near milepost 91, according to CHART.

By 4:30 p.m., it appeared the crash had cleared; however, some volume remained on the Tydings Bridge for northbound travelers.
Earlier in the day, a multi-vehicle crash temporarily closed the bridge, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported. That crash also occurred on Interstate 95 north.

It shut down the Tydings Bridge to traffic before 2 p.m. and all lanes reopened after 2:30 p.m., transportation officials said.
