
It is with great sadness that we would like to announce the passing of Dr. Jean Tsarng Lee. Dr. Lee was born in Taiwan, where he finished his medical school education at Taipei Medical College. Afterwards, he immigrated to New York City, where he completed his medical training in Internal Medicine and Hematology at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
After completing his medical training, he moved to Maryland, where he practiced medicine for almost 40 years. He recently retired in October 2015.
Dr. Lee is survived by his loving wife, Shwu-Jen, and his devoted children Karen Dolenec (and husband Dominik Dolenec) and Benjamin Lee (and wife Bernice Lee). He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Nina Dolenec, Isabella Dolenec, Lucy Lee and Oliver Lee. Finally, he is survived by his sister, Ya-ling Lin, and his brother, Jean Tang Lee.Dr. Lee passed suddenly while on vacation in the Outer Banks, NC. He was surrounded by his entire family.

He lived a full and happy life, dedicating himself to service to his patients and to taking care of his loving family. He always tried to give us the best opportunities in life. We will miss him terribly. His memory will live in all of us forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the at www.alz.org/donate. Alzheimer's disease is a condition that affected so many of Dr. Lee's patients and was a subject near and dear to his heart.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, at the same location.
