Driver Died in Route 155 Crash, Police Say

Snow caused driver to lose control of Buick near Webster Lapidum Road in fatal crash, Maryland State Police reported.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD – A Bel Air man was killed in a crash on MD 155 Monday evening, according to Maryland State Police.

Christopher Lewis was pronounced deceased at the scene on Route 155 west, in the area east of Webster Lapidum Road, police said.

According to police, Lewis was driving a silver Buick Century that slid off the road onto the right shoulder and hit a utility pole on the driver’s side at approximately 5:45 p.m.

Lewis was trapped inside and when first responders arrived, he was dead at the scene, police reported.

He was the only person in the vehicle, and police said the snow-covered road caused him to lose control of the car.
