Enjoy a Youthful and Free Theatrical Performance

In years past, many of you have probably seen the Havre de Grace Drama Guild's annual musical featuring all three of their children's troupes (Teen Troupe, Youth Troupe and Tiny Tots).  All three troupes get on the stage together in a large and exciting production, previously including "Oz!," "Alice in Wonderland, Jr.," "No Strings Attached," and "The Little Mermaid, Jr."  The Guild will be doing that again in the spring with the tale of everyone's favorite orphan, "Annie, Jr."

But in addition to this traditional production, new this year the Guild is giving each of their children's troupes a show of their very own so they can showcase the skills they have been working on in their classes.  This new practice will allow every student the opportunity to have their own "moment to shine" on stage which is not always possible in a larger production.  And best of all, the shows are ABSOLUTELY FREE to the public, so they are all wallet-friendly events.

The first troupe show of the year is tomorrow, November 23, 2013 at 1:30 pm featuring the Youth Troupe (grades 3 through 5).  Come to the Havre de Grace Activity Center and enjoy their rendition of "The Weird, Wild and Wonderful Days of School," a comedy about the wackiness of children finding their place in the world.

The show is a workshop performance, meaning the children used the play as a teaching tool during class and are now going to show off what they have learned.  Due to the size of the Youth Troupe and the anticipated crowd, this event will be held in the gymnasium, so plan to arrive early in order to get a seat!
