   Get out your lucky hat, because the Lewis Lane Players  is about to unveil a mystery dinner show that spoofs the movie “Casablanca” and the American dream of winning the jackpot.

   Penned by Tony Schwartz and Marylou Ambrose, the show, Dealt a Deadly Hand, takes place at Rick’s club, the first legal gambling casino in the area. Rick dreams of striking it rich – then two crafty Native Americans try to claim the land and his gold-digging ex-wife Lola shows up. Throw in a two-faced lawyer, a not so Australian Croc Chaser with bad luck, and two little old ladies on a gambling mission, and "making a killing" takes on a whole new meaning.

   Will the Native Americans take over the casino? Will the Choc Chaser win back his farm? Will the Portabella sisters find their missing g-string? Will the lawyer decide how to play his cards? Will Lola and Rick get back together for richer or poorer? And will Rick ever be cured of his Bogart complex?

   Keep your eyes and ears open because someone will cash in his or her chips tonight, and it’s up to the audience to solve the crime! Prizes will be awarded to the first people who correctly guess the murder and motive.

   The curtain rises on January 14, 2011 at 6:30pm. Proceeds from the dinner theatre event will benefit the HDG Drama Guild.

   What can you expect from an audience participation murder mystery? Fun the minute you walk in the door! Doors open at 6:30pm when you’ll get a chance to mingle with the cast as they drop hints about themselves and the show and give you a chance to ask questions. At 7:00pm you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet of Baked Atlantic Salmon smothered in Seafood Newburg, Chicken Picatta, Oven Roasted Beef, Pasta Primavera, Rice Pilaf, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Salad Bar, Rolls, Desserts, Iced Tea and Coffee, while the cast keeps a low profile. The main show starts after dinner, at around 7:30pm
