Holy Week at St. John's: Come See What Easter's All About!

Before Easter comes the story of how it all happened.  At St. John's, we celebrate Holy Week by reliving those events in Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago.  Come join us; see what it's all about.  Thursday night at 7pm, we carry out the "mandatum" or, foot washing, just as Jesus did and we celebrate the First (not last) Supper.  On Good Friday, we celebrate (yes, we said "celebrate") the meaning of the day:  reconciliation.  Both services enable us, as the body of Christ to participate fully in his resurrection and to be able to shout with joy the words, "He is risen!  Truly, he is risen!"

Thursday, Apr. 5 at 7 pm:  Foot washing followed by the celebration of Holy Eucharist, commemorating the First Eucharist.  All baptized persons are welcome at our altar! Followed by stripping of the altar.

Friday, Apr. 6 at 7 pm:  Traditional Good Friday service and reading of the Passion of John, followed by reading of an actual letter from Judas Iscariot!  You won't want to miss this!
