Come and Join us and Artist, Orion Nelson in the art studio of The Art Rooms for a two (2) hour Figure Drawing Workshop!    Working from a live model, this workshop is designed to help students obtain the basic skills of drawing the human form, including proportion, observation, and fundamental exercises in gesture, contour, outline and tonal modeling.  Perfect for those who want an introduction to figure drawing or for those who want to brush up on their skills.  Model fee included in cost of class.  Cost is $40.00  Orion Nelson is an artist trained in both the traditional and digital arts. Since a child Orion has always had a love of drawing and was inspired by the epic stories of comic books, animation and movies. After absorbing all the artistic knowledge and resources of Aberdeen High School his love for the arts propelled Orion to seek further education in the realm of classical 2-D Animation at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Following graduation, entering a recession wrecked job market, to survive Orion was forced to push aside his artistic ambitions and seek employment in unrelated fields. This is when he decided to pick up the mantle of Freelance Artist, and Orion's focus switched to bringing the visions of his clients to fruition. The years passed and after living in numerous places on the east coast, Orion wound up settling in and working in Havre de Grace Maryland, the finest place he says that he has ever lived. Finally in a creative based job at Big House Signs, Orion's skills are back up to speed and he is eager for any and all things considered art that he can get his hands into.
