National Night Out

The OPAC folks (Ontario-Otsego Positive Action Committee) will be participating in the National Night Out again this year.  This neighborhood is in the northeast corner of town, bordered by Juniata, Otsego, and the river.  The original purpose was to spread awareness of ongoing anti-crime efforts in our nation’s cities.  However, the OPAC group has expanded this event into a general “getting to know your neighbors occasion.” Everybody is invited to turn on their porch lights and meander around our community.  Usually, city officials and police officers stop and share concerns and issues.  Refreshments will be located on the 600 block of Ontario Street.
