Facial choices for the newbie spa goer

when looking at a menu of services that has a lot of choices to pick from, one can become overwhelmed.  If it is your first time getting a facial, maybe choose the traditional European Facial. Most spas have one. It is  a simple facial with all the main steps; Cleansing, exfoliation, extractions( can feel painful to some clients, but is a necessary evil) Massage and a mask. Usually you will be steamed and there might be warm towels applied to your face too. I have had clients  show uo late for a facial because they were taking off their makeup. Cleansing is part of the treatment so don't worry about it. We usually wrap up your hair to#1 keep you warm and comfortable, but mostly for#2 reason which is to keep products off of your hair. Please don't expect your hair to look perfect after a facial, you will indeed get it a little messed up and even a little wet around the edges too. The only main thing you might want to prep before coming is to remove all your jewelry and even leave it at home( some spas have lockers to lock up valuables) An area might get skipped if you have a chunky or immovable piece of jewelry in the way of the treatment. You usually get your face, neck, decollete, and sometimes arms, hand and feet massaged during a facial. Also you will usually be under a sheet and a blanket so you can undress until you are comfortable, but again don't wear something that covers those areas above mentioned or they might get skipped. If you choose to wear your bras, pull down the  straps so they don't get product on them and the massage can go over the area better.
