Search Ends As Havre De Grace Firefighter Found Dead 3 Days After Reported Missing: Police

Three days after he was reported missing, Susquehanna Hose Company firefighter David Starr's body has been found.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Havre de Grace firefighter David Lee Starr has been found dead after he was reported missing March 14 by friends and family.

Starr had been with the Susquehanna Hose Company since 1993 and was an active member of Division 2 at the time of his disappearance.

Starr was last seen in the 600 block of Erie Street. He had told family he was headed to the Susquehanna State Park. The Havre de Grace Police Department announced that he'd been found dead Sunday afternoon.

No additional details about his death have been released and it's still being investigated by the Maryland Natural Resources Police.

"We ask that you please keep the Starr family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rest easy, brother…," the Susquehanna Hose Company stated on its Facebook page.

The community is invited to gather Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Division 2 where there will be refreshments served and a grief counselor on hand.
