First Friday: Celebrate First Before Fourth

First Friday is here again.

As we celebrate the mid-point of 2011 and prepare for the three-day weekend leading to and including July Fourth, Havre de Grace continues its monthly warm-weather tradition of First Friday.

Downtown streets will be packed for the restaurant and drink specials, sidewalk displays and street corner performances.

The Snowball Experience—with 130 flavors—officially opens at 5 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at Pennington Avenue and North Washington Street.

A face-painter will be at Pennington and Washington, as will the Havre de Grace High School girls soccer team. A balloon man will be located in front of Island Jack.
