Why Go: Grab a spot in the shade along tree-lined Union Avenue and watch the floats, cars, trucks, performers, fire trucks and bands in Havre de Grace's annual parade. The grand marshal is Rick Hauf, director of bands at Havre de Grace High School.

5. HAVRE DE GRACE INDEPENDENCE FIREWORKS
Where/When: , Havre de Grace, Sunday, approximately 9:15 p.m.
Why Go: Witness one of the best fireworks displays in the region where the Susquehanna meets the Chesapeake. The 's final night coincides with a fireworks show over the water.
