Great Havre de Grace Oyster Feast Benefits Nonprofits

Nearly 20 nonprofit organiztaions are participating in the Great Havre de Grace Oyster Feast 2018.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Great Havre de Grace Oyster Feast is slated for this weekend. Havre de Grace Mayor Bill Martin released a message for the community about the event.

"If you like oysters, this is where you need to be," Martin said. "Raw oysters, steamed oysters, fried oysters, crab soup, beef, turkey, you name it, we have it all, plus lots of beverages."

This will be the third annual event, which benefits local nonprofit organizations.

Nearly 20 nonprofits are participating in the event: Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, Havre de Grace Green Team, Havre de Grace Colored School Foundation, Havre de Grace Public Arts Commission, Havre de Grace High School PTSA, Meadowvale Elementary PTA, Havre de Grace Maritime Museum, Havre de Grace Recreation Basketball, Havre de Grace Recreation Football, Havre de Grace Independence Day Commission, Havre de Grace High School class of 2020, Havre de Grace Lock House, Havre de Grace Young at Heart, Joseph L. Davis American Legion Post 47, Salvation Army of Harford and Cecil Counties, Havre de Grace Alliance and Winter Wonderland Committee.

Tickets are $55 per person, of which $15 goes to participating nonprofits, according to Martin.

Tickets are available at participating nonprofits and the Havre de Grace Visitor Center, 450 Pennington Avenue, or by calling 410-939-2100.

The Great Havre de Grace Oyster Feast will be from 4-9 p.m. with food served from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. The feast takes place at the Havre de Grace Community Center, 100 Lagaret Lane.
