Harford County Public Schools 2021-22 Calendar: See Key Dates

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Havre de Grace, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Harford County Public Schools.

The first day of school for most students in Harford County Public Schools is Sept. 8.

Masks are required on school buses, according to a federal order.

In Harford County Public Schools, nobody may work in or visit school property if they have COVID-19 symptoms or are in quarantine or isolation due to a close contact with a person who has COVID-19.

Operations for fall remain under review, according to Harford County Public Schools.

Superintendent Sean Bulson said at the Harford County Board of Education's July meeting that the school system would update its guidance by the time of its next school board meeting, which is set for Aug. 16, based on the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year in Harford County Public Schools:

First Day: Wednesday, Sept. 8

Thanksgiving Break: Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26

Winter Break: Friday, Dec. 24, to Sunday, Jan. 2

Spring Break: Friday, April 15, to Monday, April 18

• Students may be off from early dismissal April 13 through April 19.
  • Schools will dismiss three hours early on Wednesday, April 13.
  • Classes are canceled for Professional Development Day Thursday, April 14.
  • Classes are canceled for Professional Development Day on Tuesday, April 19.
