Hatem Bridge Lanes To Close For Road Resurfacing

Maryland transportation officials say they are closing the westbound span of the bridge temporarily.

Lane closures are planned on the Hatem Bridge every night this week. The closures will allow for road work, which will be done if weather permits.

The westbound part of the Hatem Bridge will be closed overnight from Monday to Tuesday to allow for road resurfacing, and one eastbound lane will be closed as well, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

During the closure, officials say that there may be traffic drags, in which case police will be on site to reduce the pace of vehicles before the work zone.
