A wind warning is in effect for the Hatem Bridge Thursday afternoon, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.
Officials say they issue wind warnings when there are winds of 30 to 39 mph.

During a wind warning, drivers of the following vehicles should use extra caution while crossing the bridge: house trailers, box trailers, motorcycles, vehicles with roof-mount racks containing cargo or any other vehicle that may be subject to high winds.
State transportation officials advise keeping both hands on the wheel and slowing down amid high winds.

The Maryland Transportation Authority said that the Hatem Bridge wind warning went into effect after 11 a.m.
On Thursday afternoon, the Hatem, Bay and Key bridges were all still under wind warnings.
