Havre de Grace Businesses Offer Holiday Specials

So forget about Black Friday for a minute. We're here to share with you some specials from local businesses for the holiday season.

Patch reached out to local businesses through the Chamber of Commerce and Havre de Grace Main Street, asking for their offerings to consumers for the holiday season.

Here's the rundown of deals from your locally-owned businesses:

• is offering 10 percent off on Small Business Saturday through the holidays. The store accepts American Express, and customers will qualify for a 25 percent credit on Saturday purchases between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
• is offering a deal to buy one item, get the second of equal or lesser value at half off on Small Business Saturday.
• is offering a deal to buy one item, get another item of equal or lesser value for half off on Small Business Saturday. Visit the shop to speak with owner and Havre de Grace Main Street president Billee Smith for more details on Small Business Saturday.
• is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Black Friday, and all customers visiting on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 basket of items from the shop. Flicker Scents is also offering 10 percent discounts to members of the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce.
• is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Black Friday with specials including: Buy $100 in Vera Bradley items, get a free Vera Bradley Tote; 20 percent off all in-stock Chamilia bracelets, necklaces and earrings; $10 each for custom embroidered totes; buy one, get one free custom note card sets. For Small Business Saturday: In addition to $25 credit from American Express, customers will receive a free $10 Island Jack gift card to be used at a later date with every $60 spent. Island Jack also offers in-store wish lists.
• is offering a mug filled with retro candy—usually $10—for $7 on Small Business Saturday.
• is offering a 5 percent discount "to those who visit on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, with ad. What a better way to unwind from a day of shopping or work, with a glass of wine!"
• is offering 10 percent off any item up to $41.99, and 20 percent off sales over $200 on Small Business Saturday.
• is offering 10 percent off for every $50 spent on Small Business Saturday. All artwork in the gallery is available for 15 percent off.
• is offering a 10 percent discount, and with every $100, customers will receive a free canvas tote bag.

A number of Havre de Grace businesses will also be participating in a , which will provide tickets to customers who make purchases locally. Those tickets will go toward a list of raffle items.

Also, the Havre de Grace Arts Commission will be selling Christmas ornaments from both the and the . The 2011 commemorative ornament features Man O' War for $10. Past ornaments are being sold for $15 each, including Sea Biscuit (2010), Bulle Rock (2009) and race track (2008), while supplies last.
