HdG to Name New Director of Administration: City Council Agenda
The Havre de Grace City Council agenda for Dec. 16 is here.

Havre de Grace has been without an official director of administration since last December, when Mayor Wayne Dougherty said former director Carol Mathis opted not to renew her contract.
This week, the new director will be announced, and it's a familiar face in City Hall.
Jim Newby, the city's procurement and public information officer who has worked at City Hall for decades, will officially take the oath of office at the Dec. 16 meeting of the Havre de Grace City Council.
At the Oct. 7 city council meeting, Patrick Sypolt—the city's risk manager—was appointed to serve as the interim director of the administration.
Also on the agenda for the Dec. 16 meeting are the Water and Sewer Commission's annual report and a recognition of Manager of Tourism and Marketing Brigitte Peters, who was presented with the Visionary Impact Award recently at the Maryland Tourism and Travel Summit. At the summit, state tourism officials named the War of 1812 bicentennial event in Havre de Grace the "best large event" of the year in Maryland; Peters coordinated the event.
Here's the rest of the city council agenda, adapted from the City of Havre de Grace website.
