Havre de Grace Duck Drop Ushers In 2021 With Fireworks

The new year is here, with a bang, courtesy of the city of Havre de Grace and the Susquehanna Hose Company.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Crowds flocked to Concord Point Thursday night for the Havre de Grace Duck Drop, which took place near the Concord Point Lighthouse.

Dozens converged around Concord Street to turn the page on 2020, as the outdoor activity was one of few New Year's Eve events in the region that went on amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The Susquehanna Hose Company lowered a replica canvasback outside the Lighthouse Keeper's House from a 100-foot aerial tower truck.
