Incumbents Take Lion's Share in HdG Council Election
The Havre de Grace City Council will have one new member, who last served on council in 2008.
At St. Patrick Hall on Tuesday, 953 people voted in the Havre de Grace municipal election, according to The Aegis, which noted this was an unofficial tally. Absentee ballots must still be taken into account.
In this year's race, four candidates ran for three seats on the Havre de Grace City Council.
The three candidates who reportedly garnered the most votes have already served or are currently serving on the council.
The unofficial tally from the election was as follows, according to The Aegis:
- David Glenn—788
- Bill Martin—716
- Steve Gamatoria—682
- Robert Robinson—296
Last year, when there was a mayoral race, council race and a referendum question on the ballot, 1,624 citizens in Havre de Grace cast their ballots.
