Award-Winning Havre de Grace Educator on Radio

Kristin Schaub, the fifth-grade teacher at Havre de Grace Elementary School who won Harford County's Teacher of the Year, said in a recent interview that part of what she loves about her job is seeing her students grow up, and Havre de Grace is the type of place that lets her do just that.

Schaub, who began at Havre de Grace Elementary School as a fourth-grade teacher in 2004, said she's been able to watch her students blossom over the years.

"I'm very proud to say that my very first class is graduating high school this year," Schaub said in a recent interview with KHZtv (970 WAMD).

"It's just neat to see them, especially in Havre de Grace, it's a small community, and so I get to see them every morning when I'm driving into work and see the young men and women they're becoming; and I'm so proud of each of them," Schaub said.
