Havre de Grace Halloween 2019: Parade, Pet Fest, Murder Mystery

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Havre de Grace will celebrate Halloween in a variety of ways. From a haunted tour to murder mystery dinner to pet costume contest to parade, there is something for everyone.

The Havre de Grace Arts Collective will be showing "Beetlejuice" in the Cultural Center at the Opera House Thursday, Oct. 24. Tickets are $5 to $6.

Watch "Hotel Transylvania 3" and make a Halloween decoration at the opera house at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Tickets are $0 to $6. A treats bag will be provided by the Boys & Girls Club.

The Havre de Grace Housing Authority is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. It is free and open to all.

Joseph L. Davis Post 47 American Legion welcomes those who dare to join a Spooktacular Halloween party from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Oct. 26. There will be dancing, door prizes and a light meal. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $25 for one and $45 for a couple.

Howl-O-Ween Pet Fest and Parade hosted by the Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

Kids Mad Scientist Experiments will offer the chance to make creepy crawlies, mix up potions and create blob creatures at the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Admission is free.

Carve & Candy at the Decoy Museum from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum. Cost is $5 per child. Kids can carve or paint pumpkins with a decoy carver and go trick-or-treating in the museum.

Solve a murder mystery and indulge in a fall dinner at The Vandiver Inn for "Whodunit?" The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Tickets are $65, and they benefit the Chesapeake Feline Association.

Trick or treating at downtown businesses runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The Havre de Grace Halloween Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. The Havre de Grace Recreation Committee sponsors the parade, which will offer prizes.

Trick or treat is Thursday, Oct. 31, for Halloween. Patch will update this article once official times have been announced.
