Havre de Grace High School Threat Unsubstantiated, Principal Says
The principal at Havre de Grace asked parents and students to do certain things when they see threats against the high school.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A social media threat linked to Havre de Grace High School this week was deemed not credible by authorities. Although Principal Jim Reynolds said there was evidence to support charges against the student involved, there was no danger to the community; school and police officials "confirmed that the threat was not credible," Reynolds said.
If students or parents see something that is disturbing on social media which could be considered threatening to the school, Reynolds asked that they refrain from circulating it online and instead bring the content to the attention of an adult, school administrators or the school resource officer.
"School safety is our utmost priority and the members of the administrative team and security staff will continue to be vigilant in maintaining the safety of Havre de Grace High School," Reynolds said.

"Please take this opportunity to talk with your child about the seriousness and resulting consequences of making threats whether in a joking manner or otherwise; encourage your child to speak with you, an adult at school or the SRO INSTEAD of posting or sharing things on social media. By speaking with an adult, immediate action can be taken. We continue to encourage students, staff and families that if you see something, you say something. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at the school.
