Pug on Wheels Wins HdG Dog Fashion Show

Sam the pug stole the show at the Havre de Grace Library for his creative presentation.

The Havre de Grace Library hosted its second annual dog fashion show and parade over the weekend, and Sam the pug stole the show.

Dressed like a baby, Sam strolled onto the "runway," which was the grassy side of the library facing Pennington Avenue, in a stroller pushed by his owner, Sarah Hardiman, 9.

His funny behaviors? "He spazzes all over the place" after getting a bath and "he barks in his sleep," letting out "an adorable little whimper," Hardiman said.

Sam won first place with high marks for his costume, presentation and obedience from celebrity judges Brigitte Peters, Suzanne Merlo Zantop, Monica Kelbaugh Worrell and Barbara Wagner.

"Sam's family really did it up right with Sam in a baby carriage and lots of signs about Sam's true passion: attention," the library posted on its Facebook page. "Very creative! We love Sam."
