Havre de Grace Stabbing: Man Charged With Injuring Neighbor, Police Say

Police allege a Havre de Grace man stabbed his neighbor after an argument out the window escalated.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - A man in Havre de Grace is charged after he stabbed his neighbor during an argument, according to the Havre de Grace Police Department. Officials said that the dispute occurred on Oct. 1 and injured one person.

James Ugene Oldenburg, 58, of the 400 block of South Stokes Street, is charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Oldenburg was yelling out the window at his neighbor, officials said. When the neighbor walked outside to ask him to stop around 3:25 p.m., police said Oldenburg stabbed him, resulting in a minor laceration.

Oldenburg was arrested and taken to the Harford County Detention Center.

Court records show Oldenburg was denied bail and is slated to appear Nov. 1 for a preliminary hearing in Harford County District Court.
