Museums in Havre de Grace Welcome Trick-or-Treaters

Four museums bring education and spookiness together on Halloween night.

The door to a museum is not necessarily one trick-or-treaters would knock on, but this year, there are four museums that hope costumed children stop by.

"We are trying something new," said Bethany Baker, executive director of Concord Point Lighthouse, one of four locations staying open Halloween night to showcase the city's spooky heritage.

Baker said that Ciera Fisher, executive director at the Lock House, came up with the idea of creating a haunted house, and the other museums spun off of that idea.

"We want the community to have fun, safe places to go on Halloween and...to show that the museums are working together to provide education and entertainment for everyone," Baker said.

Trick-or-treaters are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. Admission is $1 per museum.
