60 Guns Reported Missing; License Plate Stolen: HdG Police Blotter

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.

Here's what police have been responding to since Tuesday:

Police were called to a business in the 100 block of North Washington Street at approximately 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, where a couple said their guns were stolen. Approximately 60 to 70 guns were missing.

Police said the guns been on consignment to the previous owner, and that store had closed, which made it a civil issue.

The previous store owner, who was in the process of moving her business to a new location, told Patch she contacted the gun owners and alerted them that she had a new phone number.

Vandalism: 
Property was destroyed in the 700 block of Congress Avenue, reported at 7:20 a.m. Thursday. No further information was available.

A man reported vandalism to his vehicle before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of South Union Avenue. Police said there was no damage.

Thefts: A license plate was reported stolen from the 500 block of Congress Avenue at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a theft was reported in the 800 block of Otsego Street, where a teenager had reportedly been stealing from a store nightly.

Assaults: An assault was reported in the 100 block of North Stokes Street at 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said no further information was available.

An assault was reported in the 600 block of South Juniata Street at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday. No further information was available.

Domestic Dispute: A man called police before 7 a.m. Tuesday reporting his wife was out of control, throwing things in the 100 block of Parkway Avenue. Police said the altercation was verbal only.

Drugs: Police responded to the 100 block of Wilson Street for reported drug activity at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday but found no problem.
