3 Random Houses Egged, Weekend Hit-and-Run: HdG Police Blotter

Havre de Grace police said there were also two thefts, one while a resident was sleeping.

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.

Someone threw an egg at a residence in the 400 block of Alliance Street, reported at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Monday, July 21. Damage to the residence was minor.

Between 12:15 and 10 a.m. on July 19, someone threw multiple eggs at a house in the 200 block of Prescott Court. There was minor damage.

Vinyl siding was damaged at a home in the 200 block of Spectacular Bid Drive after someone threw eggs at it. The vandalism occurred between 9 p.m. on July 18 and 6 a.m. on July 19. The siding was stained.

The three instances of egging appeared to be random, according to police, who continue to investigate.

Two Thefts Reported, from Library and Residence

Five dollars, a pack of cigarettes and a prescription medication were taken from a residence in the 400 block of Fountain Street while the resident was sleeping. Sometime between 9 p.m. on July 18 and 8 a.m. on July 19, the items were removed. There was no suspect information. Estimated loss was $11.

A black LG smartphone in a black and blue case was stolen from a boy's backpack at the Havre de Grace library in the 100 block of Union Avenue. The theft was reported at approximately 6 p.m. on July 19. Estimated loss was $400.

Vehicle Hit-and-Run Over the Weekend

A truck was damaged in a hit-and-run in the 900 block of Revolution Street. A man parked his work truck, a 2012 Ford F-150, on Revolution Street at 4:30 p.m. on July 18; and when he returned on July 20, he found the passenger-side headlight had been damaged. Police canvassed the area and said there were no witnesses.
