Havre de Grace Ranks Among Best Small Downtowns
The city by the Chesapeake contains one of the top 50 small downtowns, according to Best Choice Reviews.

Havre de Grace has a new title to add to its list: It’s one of the Best Small Downtowns in America.
The city ranked 11th on the list of 50 towns compiled by Best Choice Reviews, a company that sifts through information to find the best of everything from women’s boots to electric juicers.
According to Best Choice Reviews, Havre de Grace’s boardwalk, sunrises, business-rich downtown and lighthouse contribute to its appeal.

To qualify for the list, towns had to have fewer than 15,000 residents.

Best Choice Reviews also used other organizations’ rankings—such as America’s Best Main Streets from Parade magazine and America’s Greatest Main Streets from Travel and Leisure—to cull candidates.
Havre de Grace was named among the Best Small Towns to Visit in 2014 by Smithsonian magazine.

The only other Maryland town to make the Best Small Downtowns in America list from Best Choice Reviews was Berlin, which came in at 17.
