Havre de Grace Responds to Government Shutdown
Havre de Grace residents face uncertainty at work and at the table.

When Patch asked how people were coping with the government shutdown Tuesday, Dot Hines said: "I'm baking cookies!"
At Sweet Devotion, the cupcakery and cafe on Route 40 that specializes in lunch, the reality of the government shutdown wasn't as sweet.
Customers' orders reflected the uncertainty in Washington, according to Sweet Devotion staff, who relayed a call coming in like this: "We want a bulk order for tomorrow. If the government is closed, we won't need it."
Havre de Grace-based radio station WXCY said it was sending “good thoughts out to those in our listening area who are affected.”
In response, several WXCY fans said they or their loved ones were working without pay Monday.
