Havre de Grace Teen Charged in Ocean City Sting
The 18-year-old was arrested during undercover narcotics investigation, according to reports.

A resident of Havre de Grace was among those charged in a June undercover drug sting in Ocean City, authorities reported this week.
Dylan Jacob Franz was arrested for felony distribution, according to WMDT, an Eastern Shore news station.
Franz, 18, of the 300 block of Alliance Street, charged with distributing fake drugs and possession or purchase of a controlled dangerous substance, court records show.

The Havre de Grace man was one of 37 people arrested during an undercover narcotics investigation that involved “buy-bust” drug transactions, according to the Ocean City Police Department.
Police said detectives pretended to buy drugs and then busted the alleged sellers, yielding marijuana; cocaine; fake controlled dangerous substances; four weapons; and nearly $3,000.

The charges against Franz were brought in connection with a June 11 incident; he was released from custody on June 15, according to court records.
Franz has a court date scheduled for Aug. 5 in Worcester County District Court.
In the meantime, police told citizens they would be out in force patrolling for drugs.
“Citizens are reminded that undercover officers continue to conduct drug enforcement operations throughout the year to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors,” according to a statement from the Ocean City Police Department. “Drug activity often leads to more serious criminal incidents and the OCPD Narcotics Unit is dedicated to keeping the citizens of Ocean City safe.”
