Havre de Grace Violent Crime: Increasing or Decreasing?

The FBI released a report with crime stats collected from cities across the U.S., including Havre de Grace.

The FBI released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report Monday, including information about Havre de Grace.

According to the report, violent crime went down in the city despite the fact that the population in Havre de Grace grew.

There were 35 violent crimes reported in 2013, according to the FBI report.

There were 34 violent crimes in Havre de Grace in 2014, the latest data shows.

Violent crime includes offenses involving force of the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

Havre de Grace is in line with the rest of the country, where the FBI reports violent crime decreased as a whole. Nationally, violent crime decreased by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.

The decrease in violent crime came for Havre de Grace as the city increased in population, based on the data; there were 13,625 people living in the city in 2014, compared with 13,530 in 2013.
